Our Bishop's challenge to prayer and sacrifice on Fridays and Sundays throughout October

His Excellency, Bishop Burbidge, calls all the faithful of the Arlington diocese to fast and pray the Stations of the Cross on Fridays during the month of October, as well as pray the Rosary on Sundays and fast for a few hours from social media, to win great graces for our Commonwealth of Virginia and to cast out the imminent attacks that threaten it on the upcoming ballot. Friday, Oct 3, is a fitting day to begin, on the feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, in the 1962 calendar, who said:

“My strength lies in prayer and sacrifice; they are invincible weapons, and touch hearts more surely than words can do, as I have learned by experience.”
